Victor ‘Mac’ MacLeod Kennedy
It is with great sadness, that the family of Victor ‘Mac’ MacLeod Kennedy, announce his passing, on July 3, 2017, at the age of 90.
Mac was surrounded by his loving family; daughters Betty Ann (Doug), Linda and Jan (James), sons Barry (Susan) and Vic (Terry), granddaughters Jessica (Derek) and Paige, grandsons Brian and Drew, great- granddaughters Hailey and MacKenzie as well as sister Edith and many extended family and friends.
Victor was predeceased by his wife Helen, his great love of 59 years; both parents, brothers Jim and Ken and sister Jean.
Mac was a WW2 vet and worked for Northwestern and Canadian Western Utilities for 43 years. He led a very active life and was still bowling, curling and going to a personal trainer up until his passing. He read The Edmonton Journal cover to cover daily and traveled extensively, including his 90th birthday in September with family in Las Vegas. He loved watching all sports on TV and time spent with family.
Wonderful Life, Wonderful Man.
At Mac’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family celebration will be held at a later date.
So sorry to hear that Mac has passed away. Best wishes to the family.
Goodbye Mac. It was nice to talk with you and Barry at Grant Stories funeral.
To All Of You:
We had the pleasure of being neighbors in Edmonton with your family for many years and we still refer to that home as the Kennedy’s house.
Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts.
Please accept our deepest sympathies.
Sincerely,
The Leshenko Family,
