Verna Lillian Rees
REES, Verna Lillian - Age 77, of Edmonton, Alberta and formerly of Kentville, Nova Scotia passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018, with her family by her side in the Grey Nuns Community Hospital, Edmonton.
Verna was a daughter of the late Vernon and Violet (Sanford) Brown. She is remembered as a wonderful Mother, Mother-in- Law, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and sister.
Verna is survived by her daughter Darlene (Donald) Daley, Edmonton, Alberta, sons David Chapman, Edmonton, Alberta and Terry (Elaine) Chapman, Maple Ridge B.C., grandchildren Lillian, Gregory, Ryan, Evan, Krystal and Terry Jr., and seven great grandchildren, Sisters Martha and Melina and brother Howard, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her late husband Alvin Rees and common law husband Roy McLean, siblings Flora, Edward and Douglas.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation as her request.
The family will be holding a family memorial at a later date.
Donations in memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation, Heart Foundation or the charity of one’s choice.
Sympathy extended to the family on the loss of Verna. She will be deeply missed.
