It is with our deepest sadness that Tony Holman, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at the age of 77.

Tony enjoyed spending time with family and friends whenever he could. His commitment to his family was a top priority, whether it was camping and fishing or just spending a night at home playing games or watching a movie. Much of his time was also spent devoting countless hours to volunteering within the Devon community. He spent many years as a member of the Devon volunteer fire department and later committed many hours as a Lion’s member helping with the Farmer’s Market and Christmas craft sales.

Tony’s loving and generous spirit is carried on by his wife Terry, their children Mark (Rolanda) Holman and Lena Newton, their 5 grandchildren Keira (Dylan), Kaylene (Tristan), Dylan, Jared (Amy) and Colby (Paige) and 1 great grandchild, Finley. He is also remembered fondly by his sisters Sylvia (Jim) Steidel and Jennifer Holman along with several nieces and nephews. Tony is predeceased by his parents Fred and Iris Holman and his sisters Bonnie (Barbara) Rowland and Patricia Carvalho and son-in-law Jim Newton.

We invite all who cherished Tony to join us in a Celebration of Life at the Devon Community Center on August 12th at 12:30.

We will share stories, laughter, and tears, just as Tony would have wished.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.

  1. Terry and family!
Tony was a great representative of our community! He was always kind to the kids at the arena and around town. He always stopped to say hi and usually knew your name.
We will miss him. So sorry for your loss!

    Marc and Kathy McKay

  2. Wow

Sorry to hear it he was a super great man. I had nothing but respect for him.

Ido apologize if people think this is out of place.

  3. I first got to know Tony from physio. Then it seemed once you got to know him he was everywhere lol! He would be snow blowing our easement for the Town, giving away tickets at the Christmas Craft Sale, cooking hot dogs at Christmas In The Park or organizing the buses. The last few years I met Tony at different shopping locations. And the last time I saw him was at the multi family garage sale last month. My heart ❤️ goes out to Terry and family. He was a really good man and will be missed by many.
