Susan Davis (nee Lapp)
It is with deepest sadness we let everyone know that our dearest sister and friend Susan Davis has lost her hard fought battle with Cancer. She passed away peacefully on the evening of April 11, 2020 at the Sturgeon Community Hospital.
Susan was predeceased by her mother Doreen, father George, stepmother Marty, step father Bill, and step brother Billy.
She will always remain in the hearts of her cousin Darlene (who she considered a sister), her sisters Shirley (Larry), Glenda, and Kathy. And her many nieces, nephews and friends. Susan’s lifelong friend Marlene was by Susan’s side throughout her battle with Cancer.
We would like to thank the many doctors and nurses at the Cross Cancer Institute and the Sturgeon Community Hospital who cared for Susan with compassion and assisted her as much as possible with her fight.
We would also like to thank her friends and colleagues at Witten LLP, where Susan worked for 20 years, especially her boss Steven, HR guru Susana, and cubby mate Theresa.
Due to current restrictions with Covid-19, no service of remembrance will be held at this time, but a gathering will be arranged when we are able to do so. In lieu of other tributes, donations can be made to the World Wildlife Fund Canada in Susan’s name.
Be at peace our beautiful angel.
My deepest condolences to Susan’s friends and family. I had the pleasure of working with Susan for the past 10 years and she was my guru. She was a very private person, hard working to a fault, dedicated and loyal to Steve. She did the work of at least 2 people. I wish I could have offered her some sense of comfort and support. I cried to her many times over my own health issues and pleaded with her to take time for herself.
Susan was such a bright, kind and dedicated individual. We shared many laughs and jokes with each other over the years working together. She was a wealth of knowledge with tons of experience. Susan (aka Cubby) will be sorely missed from our team here at Witten; hearts are broken. Prayers and thoughts with Susan’s family and friends (and fellow colleagues).
Sincere condolences to Susan’s family. And I include Witten LLP as part of that family. She was so appreciated at our office. We will miss her.
