With heavy hearts the family of Stanley Bruce Keeping, sadly said their final goodbyes, together by his bedside on February 7, 2025.

Bruce leaves behind a family who will miss him beyond measure: his loving wife of 47 years, Diane, daughter Tammy, son-in-law Eugene, Son Bruce Jr, daughter Crystal, and son-in-law Brad. Grandchildren Kaitlyn (Lervin), Kayla (Jack), Tyler, Jaxon, Nathan, and great-granddaughter Letty.

Bruce also had an abundance of love for his sisters who he leaves behind, Phoebe, Amy (Al), Grace (Murdock), Mary (Bill), Jane (Jim), Carolann (Claude) and Peggy (Lloyd), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his mother and father, John and Gladys, Brothers, Bill, Morgan, Freeman, and Jack, sister Sarah, Brother-in-law Stan, and special nephew Ed (Johnny).

Bruce fought through years of pain with strength and stubbornness that kept him with his family longer than expected, yet still not long enough. Even as his health declined, he always said he was too stubborn to leave, and he proved that every single day—fighting with everything he had, right up until the very end.

Despite his struggles, Bruce was always one of the first to offer a helping hand. It didn’t matter what he was going through; if someone needed him, he was there. That was just who he was—a man who put others first, no matter what. And if you were feeling down, he was the first to crack a joke or act a little silly just to get a smile out of you. He had a way of making even the hardest days a little brighter.

While we are incredibly heartbroken, and were not ready for him to leave us, we take comfort in knowing that our father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend is finally at peace, free from pain. His stubborn spirit, his kindness, and his unwavering love for his family will live on in all of us.

We love you more than we can even express, Rest easy.

In honor of Bruce’s wishes, cremation has taken place, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
