Gerry Ann Smith

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved sister, Gerry Ann Smith, on December 17, 2024.

Gerry was born in Edmonton, Alberta on February 16, 1954, and spent her entire life there. She attended Delton Elementary School, HA Gray Middle School, and graduated from Victoria Composite High School. She was very athletic and especially enjoyed volleyball and basketball. She was also an avid golfer, and enjoyed watching all sports on TV. Weekends would often be spent with family at her lake lot.

Gerry was not only a wonderful sister but a best friend, a confidant, a loving auntie and a friend to many.

Gerry had an infectious laugh and a heart of gold, always ready to lend a hand or share a story. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories. She is pre-deceased by her partner of 40 years, June Schenk. She is also survived by her sisters, Terry Wosnack (Smith), & Valerie Maltais (Smith); nephews and nieces, Tianna Hesby (Barry), Amanda Maltais (Rick), Scott Wosnack (Courtney) and Lee Maltais (Jen).

No memorial service will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Cancer Society in her honor.
