Shirley Fay Hipfner
We are sad to announce the sudden passing of our mother Shirley (Thebeau) Hipfner.
Mom was fun and had a youthful vibrancy that transcended time. She came from humble beginnings and overcame many obstacles, leading to a full and meaningful life. She loved music, dancing, entertaining family and friends in her home, and was quick to laugh. She was happiest when she was out walking and could very well have circled the globe with all the miles she clocked. She never hesitated to tell anyone who would listen, including strangers she encountered on her walks, how truly proud she was of her ‘successful’ children and grandchildren. The family is so grateful to Ray Heath who came into Mom’s life after Dad died and quickly became her walking buddy, trusted friend, and devoted partner. How beautiful to see love blossom at any age.
Shirley is survived by her 4 children: Maurice (Liana Heitman) Levesque; Jeannette (Grant) Pulford; Colette (Harvey Sheydwasser) Levesque; Adele (Alfred) Dorey; grandchildren, Taleah (Aaron Holmes) Levesque and Savannah Levesque; Andrea (Dean) Robinson; Sienna (Sean) LaPorte and Jack (Courtlan Ponty) Pulford; Falun (Skylar Mellersh) Levesque and Schalyn Donecz; Benjamin and Emmah Dorey; and great-grandchildren, Rhyker and Venezia LaPorte, and Darcy Robinson.
Shirley was predeceased by her parents Albert and Dorothy Thebeau, 5 siblings, and beloved husbands Bertin Levesque and Arnold Hipfner.
As per Shirley’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta.
So very sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. It certainly is a shock when it comes so suddenly and without warning. May God be your comfort during this difficult time of grieving.
So sorry to hear about Shirley’s passing. Your Mom was one of the nicest people I’ve met in my life. I always enjoyed our talks.
