Shannon and Graham were high-school sweethearts with an ambition for life and avid travelers. Traveling to Barbados together in their early 20’s with whatever they had scraped together. After having children, camping and road trips became the norm. They shared a love of music, people and raising and spending time with their family.
As the mother of the family, her organization, delegation and planning were unparalleled in terms of the productivity of each family member. Her endless lists, each on a colourful sticky note of their own, were the blueprint to everyday life.
A mother to two, Shannon was constantly in care-mode, whether that was reminding her adult children of important dates or appointments, babysitting or watching after her kids pets while they were away, her love and nurturing was limitless.
Shannon was a greeting card hobbyist as well as a well-renowned wine aficionado and she enjoyed the finer things in life, but was always looking for a fire roasted hot dog in February
She loved the country of Mexico and every opportunity she could to vacation there, but she was also very happy to be on a couch or in bed with a stack of library books and a quiet house.
She was a resilient woman who survived many health problems in her later years without slowing down a bit.
She will be greatly missed
As per Shannon’s wishes, no service will be held
In lieu of flowers, and if you so choose, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society
