Sandra (Sandy) Gale Peredery
July 15, 1962 - December 8, 2020
It is with profound grief and sadness that we announce the death of Sandy (age 58), after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Sandy leaves behind her beloved daughters Natasha (Cory) and Chantal; her cherished grandchildren Alexander and Chloe; her dear siblings Alex (Susan), Darlene (Darrel), and Rod (Val). She also leaves behind her nieces Rachel (Steven), Maegen, Mikayla and Kristen, as well as her nephew Colby; Aunts Vicky and Staffie (Ed); Uncles Leo (Patsy), Tony, Sandy, Edward and Steve (Audrey); as well as many cousins.
Sandy is predeceased by her loving parents Alexander and Doris, as well many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sandy was a brilliant, kind and beautiful person. People who knew her absolutely adored her. She sparkled. She was brave and strong. Despite suffering with her health since her teen years, she had a genuinely positive attitude and love for life. She was very affectionate - when you got a hug from Sandy, you would dance with her and feel her warm spirit! She loved to joke, laugh and sing. Her children and grandchildren were her world.
Thank you to the Cross Cancer Institute for giving us two wonderful years to spend with our Mother. Thank you to the Norwood Hospice team who treated her as a friend and with such kindness and compassion. Last but not least, thank you to everyone who visited Mom during her final weeks. Your love and support meant so much to her.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be arranged at a later date.
Sorry to hear about your mother and sister Sandy. I tried to phone but couldn’t get through. Please let me know when you have the memorial service. Sorry I couldn’t get to see Sandy but haven’t gone out much. Love from auntie Rose
Sandy was one of a kind. Unique, never dull, and welcoming. She was thoughtful and kind, and loved her family intensely. I’ll remember her charm and warmth, and willingness to have a good, solid conversation. She will be missed.
My heartfelt condolences and sympathy to Chantal, Natasha and the entire family. I am so sorry for your loss.
I love you very much Chantal and Tasha. This write-up is so fitting for Auntie Sandy. Very beautifully written. You described her hugs and warmth just right. Enoch will miss her too, and was absolutely delighted by her generosity with giving out candy and treats whenever he saw her, and giggled at her silly stories. I have fond memories of her bringing home extra candy to share with us many years ago from her job at the time. I look forward to being able to see you again, and it will be an honour to attend her future memorial service. Love, Rachel
Sandy absolutely loved to laugh but nothing was more precious to her than her grandchildren Chloe and Alex. I am so happy i was able to spend the past few months in her warm and loving presence. I will treasure our laughs but will most of all miss her warm hugs. She gave the best hugs. She wouldn’t let go until she knew you felt loved.
Also, sandy just LOVED ice cream and milkshakes. So next time you indulge.. have a couple extra scoops for her!
I will miss you so much Sandy!
Sass sparkled brightly indeed. She lit up the room wherever she went. My sympathies to all of her family and friends. I will miss her. Love Bev
