Russell Mulawka
March 4, 1934 - March 20, 2021
It is with great sadness we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Russell lived his life with love of family, optimism and strong faith. He loved to joke and was known for his teasing.
He was a farm boy from Kinsella, AB. He joined the CNR in 1953 and had a thirty two year career as a locomotive engineer. He was also famous for his carpentry skills and building projects for family and friends.
Russell will be dearly missed by his loving wife Virginia, his four daughters, Sandra (Ken) Budjak, Kathy (predeceased in 2019) (Klaus) Gloge, Louise Traill, Carol (James) Yaworski. His stepchildren Mark (Maureen) Albers, Wendy Schoepp, 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Melvin and Richard (Mulawka), sisters Ollie (Cannon) and Ann (Pacula) and his previous spouse, Olga Mulawka. Predeceased by his parents Mike and Mary (Mulawka) and his brother Steve (Mulawka).
He touched the lives of so many and fulfilled our lives with joy, laughter and his pearls of wisdom. We hear that whistle blowing as his train departs the station, he is forever and always in our hearts.
