Roy Ensley Cutler
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Roy Ensley Cutler, resident of Edmonton AB. Roy passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020 at the age of 73 years after a long struggle with heart disease.
Roy was born in Grande Prairie, AB on August 13, 1947. He was the eldest of three children born to parents Helen and Ivor Cutler. When Roy was eight years old he moved with his family to Wembley, AB where he grew up and completed his schooling.
Roy was employed for many years as a heavy equipment operator. Roy loved sports of all kinds especially boxing and weight lifting. He won many boxing matches including the Golden Gloves award. He was also a boxing trainer and mentor to several local boxers. Roy also lifted weights for many years and was proud of his bench press abilities. He was also a loyal Oilers fan for many years.
Roy was a kind and loving father, brother and friend who would give anything he could to someone in need. He knew just the right words to say to lift up a person's spirits. He was very witty and had an amazing sense of humor. His presence will be forever missed.
Roy will be lovingly remembered by his son Ryan Cutler, sister Sharon Miller (Paul Haak) and her children Wendy and Rick King, Clinton and Cara Dawn Miller, Dianna and Dustin McLellan and their families, sister Lynda Miller (Ervin) and their children Shelly and Mike Alexander, Tammy and Randy Charko and their families. Roy loved his son and his sisters so very much. He will also be missed by many friends and relatives.
He was predeceased by his parents Helen and Ivor Cutler.
In honor of Roy's wishes and due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no funeral service. His ashes will be interred in the Beaverlodge Cemetery.
