Denise, our thoughts and prayers are with you, Bradley, Marie and your grandchildren. Words cannot describe how much we will miss Duff. Duff was a good friend who we shared so much laughter, love and sometimes tears with. He was always there when we needed him and we will hold him in our hearts forever. Rest in peace with the angels Duff.
Tim & Sheri Jeske in Colorado send prayers & love to Denise and all the family.
Denise, Brad and family….to you the most sincere of condolences. Duffy was a very valued member of the Blues Lacrosse Club. He was a goalie….so that meant he went to the beat of his own ‘drummer’. I played with him during the 1973 Canada Games and coached him in the 1977 Canada Games. Duffy was a great teammate and a was very a respectful player to the coaching staff! As mentioned by others, his laugh was contagious and he was truly a one in a million or billion. Rest well tending the goal above us Duffy.
Dear Denise and family, Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Duff. It’s hard to believe but Duff and I go all the way back to grade one at Coronation School in Miss Cohen’s class. We were friends and eventually became teammates when we played together for the North Glenora Blues. I didn’t see much of Duff for a long time but we reconnected in 2022 during the filming of ‘A Ball and a Stick’, the documentary about the Blues. That day Duff gave me the biggest bear hug ever. Later that year, Duff and I connected at Bonnie Night and had a great time talking about life, family, and lacrosse. Duff will always hold a special place in my heart. It saddens me that he is gone but I know there is much to celebrate about his life. My thoughts are with you. Jim Tayler, Ottawa ON
Denise and family,
While it saddens me to hear of Duff’s passing I also know he was at peace with his decision to be in hospice care. The visits we “lacrosse boys” had with Duff in the hospital were extremely gratifying and left all of us feeling better about the time we had spent together in our youth. It also left us with no doubt that Duff could still tell a great lacrosse story!
Please also know that many of his teammates sent me positive messages of support that I passed along to Duff. He was a very well liked, popular player.
Denise, seeing your adoration and complete dedication to Duff on our last visit was extremely moving. I wish you and the family my best and the best from all of the lacrosse players lucky enough to have been on Duff’s teams.
Denise, Bradley and family.
I would just like to pass on my sincere condolences after hearing the news that Duffy had passed away. I met Duffy through the lacrosse community, and had the privilege of him coaching me and a lot of good friends. The lacrosse community and the world definitely lost one of the best.
From myself and all my teammates, RIP Duffy, I am sure he is proudly wearing a Blues Lacrosse jersey up there!
So sorry for your family’s loss. I have just heard of Duffy’s passing and remember him as lively cousin at the large family gatherings we used to enjoy.
