Richard Sean Lackey
July 19, 1967 – May 26, 2017
Sadly we announce the passing of Richard Lackey. Rick spent his formative years in Edmonton, then Manitoba and Alberta locations. He leaves behind his daughter, Sterling Tegan Benjamin, of Winnipeg, parents, John and Barbel Lackey of Edmonton, siblings, Judith, Odette and Keven of Edmonton and many friends.
Rick was a man with a huge heart and significant talents whose memory will be cherished by people he touched along the way. Cremation has taken place and no services are to take place at this time.
Rick was my best friend -and I his- for the last 15yrs… without question… in his name I can say he was the most important person in my life and I cherish every value he placed on me along the way… many memories shared and never let go of the friendship we built… Im at a loss but honorably love him unconditionally and send my condolences to his family
Rick was a teacher to many he knew, intelligent, compassionate and a great friend. He would go to the ends of the earth for the people he loved. Not only did we have the privledge but the hounor in really getting to know Rick while he stayed with us. We got to be a part of his journey for a number of years and for that we are all greatful. We will miss his smart wit, humour and most of all – him. His presence will be forever missed, his laugh and his insightful wisdom he often liked to give. “Richard, may your struggles be over and you have found a sense of peace.”
