Peter Bertram Heritage
Peter passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 3, 2024. He was born in Beckenham, Kent, England on December 13, 1930. Peter came to Canada in September 1952 to attend Emmanuel College in Saskatoon, SK. Upon ordination in the Anglican Church of Canada, he ministered in various parishes in the Dioceses of Saskatoon, Edmonton, and New Westminster.
In the early 1970s, he returned to the University of Saskatchewan, where he earned a Bachelor of Music in Education degree and a Licentiate in Theology from the College of Emmanuel and St Chad. He taught music in a couple of schools in Prince Albert, SK, where he was also an organist and choirmaster at St Alban’s Cathedral for two years. After retiring from parish ministry in Maple Ridge, BC, Peter and Lois moved back to the Edmonton area to be closer to family.
Peter is survived by Lois, his loving wife of 64 years, sons David (Rosalie), Stephen (Lorri), and John (Rayleen); grandchildren Jennifer (Keith), Michael (Alecia), Susan, Julia (Muhammad), and Anne, and great-grandchildren Haley, Isaac, and Adalyn.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rosedale Seniors’ Living and the Edmonton General

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to outreach programs at All Saints Cathedral or the Parish of Christchurch (Anglican) or to the charity of your own choice.
