Pentamma Swamy
With great sadness, we said goodbye to Pentamma (Parvati) Swamy on March 13, 2023. Pentamma was born in April 19, 1942 in Lautoka, Fiji. She has 2 surviving siblings Lila Wati Naidu and Paras Ram.
She is also survived by her 4 children; Veena, Hari Krishna, Hari Narayan (Shalen), and Chandrama (Sandy). And also her 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Pentemma is predeceased by her longtime and loving husband Kanda Swamy, her parents: father Paidi and mother Mangamma, and elder sister Malamma.
Parvati was well known for her cheerful personality, kindness, and laughs. She was always willing to share her knowledge and teach others whatever skills she knew. Guests were always offered tea and snacks whenever they came over, even when they came over for a brief moment. Pentamma was a loyal family member and loved ones would come to her for moral support and also her blessings.
Pentamma will be greatly missed. We extend our sincere thanks to the staff of the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Grey Nuns Hospital, Glenrose Rehabilitation Center, and other Allied Health Services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at a charity of your choice.
Her family will hold a public viewing on Monday March 27, 2023 from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. with Pandit Narayan to read the Hindu Last Rites at Trinity Funeral Home, 10530-116 Street in Edmonton. Cremation will follow.
For anyone not able to join us, the service will be livestreamed through the following link: Live Stream for the late Pentamma Swamy
