Norman Wurtz
Norman Wurtz of Edmonton AB passed away on Tuesday July 19 2023 at the age of 91.
He was pre deceased by his wife of 68 years Shirley on February 13, 2023.
Left to mourn his passing are his Son, Dale (Linda) & Daughter, Karen. Grandchildren Richard (Danielle), Courtney (Jay), Nichol (Dennis) & Kayla(Shelby), Great Grandchildren Ryley, Skylar, Parker, Jaxon, Harper-Rose, Emersyn & Davin-Mason, along with extended family and friends.
Norman was proud to be a Korean War Veteran serving in the Lord Strathcona’s Horse Regiment . He was compassionate, brave, loving and strong in mind, body, and spirit . He loved the outdoors which included camping, hunting, golfing and fishing. He was a man of many talents, many of which were self taught. Norman and Shirley spent a total of 72 years together and genuinely loved spending all their time with one another. They were husband and wife but also best friends and they built a great life that they were proud of. Norman loved having family and friends around and he loved to laugh. Although a quiet man, he had a wicked sense of humour and was famous for coining the term “nip nip” as he loved his Alberta Premium while watching a great Western! He will be missed by so many!
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
