Nello Heston Cummings

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Nello Heston Cummings, a skilled welder/pipefitter and businessman, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Through his generosity, hard work, and determination, he leaves behind a legacy that will forever live on in the lives he touched.

Born in the twin island of Trinidad and Tobago, Nello’s welding talent and charm took him all over the USA, the Caribbean, and Canada.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Sherry-Ann, Larry, Shurlon, Karella, and Heston; his brothers: Ian, Mervyn, and Franklyn; his sisters: Ann-Marie, Gemma, Alison, Linda, Ann Marie, and Erica; along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will also be dearly remembered by Joy.

Nello is predeceased by his parents, Hamil Bruno and Elizah Cummings; his sister, Angela; brothers: Herman, Stafford, and Christopher; and his son, Carlton.

Visitation, where friends and family may pay their respects, will be held at Trinity Funeral Home, 10530 116 Street, Edmonton, AB, on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., and on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

A tribute and celebration of his life will take place at Trinity Funeral Home on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Following the service, internment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
