On July 7, 2014, Mike Melnychuk passed away peacefully at the age of 82.

He is survived by his loving wife Jennie (Jean) Melnychuk of 58 years, and daughter Laverne S. Melnychuk and son Lorne J. Melnychuk (Alison),  of Edmonton, Alberta.  Survived also by brothers William Melnychuk and George Melnychuk (Pauline).  Mike was predeceased by his parents John and Mary Melnychuk, Sister Anne Hominiuk and Brother Edward Melnychuk.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the caring staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
