Mavis G. (Malmberg) Biollo
BIOLLO, Mavis (Malmberg)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mavis in Edmonton, Alberta, at the age of 87. Born and raised in Edmonton, Mavis was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and care touched the lives of many. Mavis was predeceased by her beloved husband, Valentino Biollo. She will be deeply missed by her daughters: Karlene (Bruce) Saville and Kimberlee (Grant) Bawolin; five grandchildren: Ryan, Dominic and Delaney Saville, and Brady and Brooke Bawolin and her brother, Ted (Kathy) Malmberg, along with many nephews, nieces and friends . She is predeceased by her dear sister, Elaine (Don) Ayling.
For many years, Mavis dedicated her professional life as a secretary at SunLife, where she was a valued and respected colleague. Outside of work, Mavis enjoyed curling, aerobics classes, sewing, ceramics, helping neighbors, and walking with her beloved dogs. Above all else, Mavis was known for her generous spirit and her deep care for others. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel loved and welcomed. Her home was always open, and no gathering was complete without her excellent meals and the seemingly endless array of delicious desserts, including her famous cherry cheesecake and fudge brownies. Her culinary talents were a true expression of her love and will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of enjoying meals with her.
Deepest thanks to all the nurses and medical staff on the third floor of Good Samaritan Southgate for their kind and compassionate care of Mavis in her final years.
There is no church service. A private interment will take place at a later date at St. Anne's Cemetery in Venice, Alberta.
Sorry to hear of the passing of your mother, many years since we last saw her. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Sincerely Ken & Pat Williams ( Don’s nephew)
