Mary Ann Smithaniuk

With tearful thoughts and joyful memories, we announce the passing of our mother at the age of 94 years.

She will be missed by her children: Karen (Robin) Duke, Shirley (Norman) Schwindt and Gerry (Linda) Smithaniuk; her grandchildren Colin Duke, Tina Cramp, Sandy Sliworsky,  Shawna Huff, Shae Smithaniuk and Caine Smithaniuk; her great-grandchildren Rachael, Jake,  Savannah, Ryan, Autumn, Chase, Dahlia and Callie; her sister Olga Finley and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary is predeceased by husband Johnny, brothers Bill and John Sorochan and sister Betty Peters.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Good Samaritan’s Spruce Grove and Stony Plain Centres for their care and compassion.

If desired, donations in Mary’s name would be appreciated for the Activities Program at the Spruce Grove Good Samaritan Care Centre.
