Mary Agnes Yokoo (McInnis) left her last little footprint on Earth on January 21, 2025.

Born in Baden Soellingen, Germany on December 31, 1955. She was the eldest daughter of Joseph McInnis and the late Mary McInnis (Bray).

She was predeceased by her loving mother in 2013 along with her brothers Daniel in 2015, and Michael in infancy.

She is survived by her husband and best friend Ryu Yokoo of Edmonton, AB; her four children Lisa (Kevin) of Eastern Passage, NS, Andrea (Chris), Bradley (Tanya) and Joey (Paige) all of Alberta; and her proud father Joseph McInnis of Dartmouth, NS. She is also survived by her adoring siblings Anne (Nigel), Andrew (Xiaping), Theresa (Kevin), Vivian (Scott), Gerard (Angelina), and Eileen (Monty). She also leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, and special niece in Japan.

Her grandchildren were the light of her life and will have a part of grandma in their hearts forever; Taylor, Sierra, Brianna, Brooke, Luc, Hali, Brody, Dottie, Summer, Maryn, and Sawyer.

Mary will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles whom she cherished deeply. She held a lot of pride in coming from such a huge Cape Breton family. She always had a special spot in her heart for cousins Joanne, Denise & Leigh Ann who were there for her throughout her life and illness.

She is also survived by her former husband of 24 years and father of her children, Roger Clark of Halifax, NS.

Mary graduated from the nursing program at Dalhousie in 1991 with her BSC in Nursing. She won the top academic award for her class and the Dalhousie University Medal. A moment of pride for anybody who supported her throughout her educational journey. She began her career at Dartmouth General Hospital and also worked in several health care facilities in the Edmonton area before retiring.

Anybody who knew Mary knew she was small but feisty and beat all the odds by leaps and bounds.

She battled her cancer with her head held high, with courage and always had her strong faith to guide her.

It is now time to say farewell to our precious mother, our broken hearts filled with joyous memories.

Funeral to be held in Edmonton, and interment in Cape Breton, NS.

When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be. Let it Be.
