My first job when I moved here to Edmonton 10 years ago was framing with Roan Construction and on my first day of work I meet Marv. He was a super framer, he know everything and was more then willing to share his knowledge with a fresh of the boat (Newfie) who had never framed a house before. He was a super funny guy and we always had fun on the job site. I am saddened to hear that he passed away. We had some good times together and I will always remember his kindness and willingness to help me and others. I have lost a lot of friends and family to cancer over the years and I am so sorry that you have to go through this pain. I just hope that Marv is at peace and maybe having a beer with Laraque and all the other dogs that he loved.
Wes ….. I’m so sorry for the loss of Marv ….. but, as you said, his suffering is over and he is no longer in pain. My condolences to the rest of the family as well. My apologies, but I won’t be able to make it to the memorial service. Please know that my heart and love is with you at this time!

It is with great sadness that I learned of Marv’s passing. I would like to extend my sincere condolences to his family and say that my prayers are with you at this difficult time!!
Marvin, you were such a “free soul” you never seemed bound by those around you or their expectations..You always had that sparkle in your eye like you knew what others didn’t..I loved your Passion for life, and your Zeal..you left an impact on me and we’re often in my thoughts.. I remember our crazy adventures when we hung out at camp..and how you introduced me to your beautiful cousin.. I’m sorry I wasn’t there to say goodbye in the end.. I am glad you are at peace and you no longer feel pain..I am so sorry auntie Helen, Wes, Karen, and Trina..
Marvin was my fiancées roommate at the university hospital. He truly was an angel, always checking in on him and bringing him magazines. He and his wife prayed for us and were so kind. We think of him often and I am so sorry to see that he is gone. I pray that Trina and Ethan are okay and want them to know Callum and I have all the love in the world for them. Rest in peace Marvin.
