Marie Henebury
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marie Henebury announce her passing. She passed peacefully away at the University of Alberta hospital at 3:05pm on September 10th, 2022 with family at her side.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are sisters Rosemary, Annie(Rivilyn), Carmelita(Don), and Geraldine; brothers Robert(Margaret), Edward(Stella), Adrian(Velma), Albert(Linda), Patrick(Lois), Leonard(Barbara), Leslie(Judith); nieces/nephews and a large circle of friends and extended family.
Marie was predeceased by her parents Richard and Alfreda Henebury; brothers Gerald, Gerard and Joseph; great niece Melissa and brother in law Reginald.
Marie was an outgoing person who loved hockey, ball, traveling and being with family. She spent many years playing ball with brothers Patrick and Leonard. She was a true Edmonton Oilers fan and attended many games. She loved to travel with niece Nicole and great nephews Ryan and Kyle. She was always there when there was a family get together and rarely missed the chance to spend time with her family and friends when they invited her out.
She was full of energy and rarely let anything push her down. She battled cancer and came out ringing the bell after a year of treatments and a stem cell transplant. The strength she exuded was inspiring.
There will be a memorial service held in Edmonton at Trinity Funeral home on September 21st at 1:00pm.

Dear Marie. You were an outstanding ball player and team-mate but an even better friend. We will sorely miss your company at our weekly Saturday morning breakfasts that we enjoyed with you for nearly 20 years. Please know that we plan on visiting Point May next year on our trip to Newfoundland and will be thinking of you. Thanks for the memories. Rest in Peace.
Rob and Cheryl, thanks for being such good friends to Auntie Marie. She talked about you a lot and also cherished those Saturday morning breakfasts. Take care.
