March 28, 2025 1 Condolence Print Obituary Send Flowers

We tenderly remember Lydia Margaret Harder Penner who was born in Lost River, Saskatchewan and passed away in Edmonton, Alberta.

She was the gentle daughter of Peter and Mary; happy sister of Annie, Doreen, Ellen, Leonard, Archie and Cecil; and kindhearted sister-in-law of Abe, George, Mary, John, Jake, Anne, Erica and Margaret, who are already gathered to their people, and Clarence, Tina, Ethel, Diana and Vi, who remain.

She is the ever faithful, true love of Rudy, and the patient, selflessly loving mother of Deborah, Barbara, Pauline, Beryl, Jerry and Fern. She joyfully became mother-in-law to Peter, Carla and Dale. She treasured being grandmother to Daniel, John-Mark, Rachel, Megan, Eric, Andrew, Jennifer and Katelyn. She warmly welcomed Tiet, Emily and Chris.
For the family and many others, she has been listener, reader, learner, teacher and friend.

She lived the Way to “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12

For loving homecare by Isable, and committed medical care by Dr. Grynoch, the family is very grateful.

In lieu of flowers, honour Lydia through a gift to mcc.org
