Louis Yasinski

It is with sadness that we share the news of the passing of Louis “Lou” Yasinski of Edmonton on Monday March 4, 2024 at the age of 89 years after a brief illness.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Lara (Adam) Halliday, son Michael Yasinski, grandsons Max and Zach and his nieces and nephews. Louis was predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Rose, wife Sharon Yasinski and siblings Victoria, Kathleen, John, Mike, Marion, Sophie and niece Lori. The family would like to thank Dr. Butzelaar and the wonderful staff at Jubilee Lodge for the loving and compassionate care shown to Louis, and thanks friends Bill Breese and Jen Leclerc and his former neighbours at Place Gaboury for their kindness and support of Louis.

Louis lived a full life and was devoted to his family and community, always ready to lend a helping hand.

We will miss Louis’s bright smile and cheerful and caring personality.

A Memorial Service will be held at The Edmonton Moravian Church, 9540 83 Ave NW, Edmonton on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11 am with a lunch reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Louis may be made to The Edmonton Food Bank or The Edmonton Moravian Church, or to the charity of your choice.
