✝️💗Speech to honour my dearly departed Mother:

My dear Mom, I want to thank you for being my best friend, 100% the BEST friend that anyone could ever ask for. You were my rock, my confidant, my therapist, my champion, my defender, everything. I miss you more than words could ever express. You truly were the most incredible mother and friend. For the last 10 years, you had to take on yet ANOTHER role as caregiver to me. I know at times it was very hard for you, but in true “Mother” form, you never complained, even when you weren’t feeling good & suffering yourself, you did that same for Grandma, and Caregivers Fatigue is very real and yet you still, no matter what you were going through yourself, would always put Grandma and me first. It never went unnoticed and was so incredibly appreciated. You were absolutely a true Angel on earth. And now you’ve received your very much deserved official wings.

I wish we could have had MANY MANY MORE years together, but God needed you home. As much as it tears me apart and completely breaks my heart into a million pieces, I trust in our God and he needed you home, and I have to accept and respect that you are right where you are supposed to be. Please give Grandma the biggest hug for me.

In September of 2001, Mom made the decision to take an early retirement after working for Alberta Blue Cross for 37 years. Mom decided to retire a bit early to take care of my Grandmother. My Mother was so unwaveringly dedicated to caring for her. My Mother & Grandmother (who we lost 10 years ago this year) were both two of the most incredible women I’ve ever known and have the honoured and blessed to call them my Mother & Grandmother.

My Mom was one of the strongest, most special, amazing, sweet, strong, caring, understanding, modest, humble, kind, beautiful, funny people I got to spend my life with. She loved with her whole heart. She gave even when she had nothing to give. She always put everyone else before herself. Maybe now, she can take a much needed and deserved rest.

Mom, I know your life was never easy, but you always made it fun. Your faith always remained steadfast. Sometimes at the worst times we had the best times. I loved to make you laugh, and you had the best laugh. You are just an extremely beautiful soul, gone far too soon. I miss you with every ounce of my being. And I love you to the moon and back. Forever and ever. Until the fateful day when we are reunited.

Thank you for all you’ve done for me. For all you’re doing for me now. Even when you should be at rest you’re busy watching over me. I feel your energy everywhere.

Thank you for all you’ve taught me. Thank you for all the strength and love and resilience you instilled in my heart and soul. I just pray for you to be at peace. You deserve it more than anyone I know. I love you always, miss you forever ♾️. Rest peacefully my sweet Mom.

In my Mother’s memory, please always remember to tell your parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren and friends that you love & care about them and how much you appreciate them. It’s so important and can never be said too often.

On that note, I truly love and appreciate each and every one of you. May peace be in your hearts & minds, and love always in your soul. And may you always remember and keep my Mother in your hearts.

Sincerely,
The Very Proud Daughter of Lorraine Marie Brown.
