Lois McLean Davis
Lois McLean Davis passed away in the early morning of Saturday June 4, 2022. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Charles Douglas, son in-law James, daughter in-law Alison, and grandson Evan. She leaves behind to mourn her loss her youngest brother James. She adored and was beloved by her children, daughter in-law, son in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to mention. Lois was fierce about Scrabble and the correct use of an apostrophe. She loved travel, flowers, opera and live theatre.
Miss Me But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road,
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room;
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little but not too long,
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared;
Miss me but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take,
And each must go alone,
It is a part of the Master's plan-
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart,
Go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds,
Miss me but let me go.
