Lois Ila Danelesko
August 27, 1934 - Lloydminster, SK
October 20, 2021 - Edmonton, AB
Lois grew up on the family farm just outside of Marwayne, Ab. After graduating high school, she attended Nursing School in Lamont. As a nursing student, she met the love of her life, John Danelesko, a local farm boy. They were married in 1957 and made their home in Edmonton. Sons, Dwight and Justin arrived soon thereafter. Life with John included work as a nurse, Saturday night card games with friends, gatherings with extended family, memorable summers at the lake with the kids, eventually winters as Snowbirds in Mesa, AZ, as well as travel to Europe and SE Asia. Sadly, shortly after their 25th anniversary, John passed away. Lois completed her career working as an Office Manager in a sustainable plastics firm. With Gerry as her partner, she relished numerous road trips to the USA, attending football games, and enjoying summer vacations to Vancouver Island.
Lois loved greeting her new grandchildren and watching them grow. She was forever a willing and compassionate family supporter in times of need and celebration.
Lois was predeceased by her husband, John 1982, daughter-in-law, Barbara 1994. She is lovingly remembered by her partner, Gerry Favel; sons, Dwight (Elaine) and Justin (Susan); six grandchildren, Scott (Melody), Tessa (Andrew), Todd (Stephanie), Joseph, Anna (Bjorn), and Drew; and three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Charlie and Abigail; numerous relatives, and a host of wonderful friends and neighbours.
