Lloyd Stanley Regula
It is with immense sadness, that the Regula family share the passing of Lloyd Stanley Regula on April 24, 2021, at the age of 70.
Lloyd had a brilliant mind, a kind nature and strong will. He was a hardworking farmer who could fix almost anything and was always willing to help out a neighbor or friend. He was a patient man, who had a quiet strength and a positive outlook that he carried throughout his life. He loved airplanes and flying, and when his feet were on the ground, he was a constant learner who loved to read. He cherished any chance to get together with family and friends; from countless ski trips and family gatherings, sharing a beer in the shop or enjoying the beaches of Mexico. But to Lloyd, the little things were the big things - a phone call or a visit would bring him such delight. The legacy of Lloyd will live on in the countless people he touched along the years.
Lloyd leaves behind his wife Mary; children Kara-Lynn (Eric), Brandon; two adored granddaughters Olivia, Abigail; siblings Leslie (Doris), Dean, Ann (John); as well as numerous other beloved relatives and faithful friends. Lloyd was predeceased by his mother Frances; father Frank; brother Cecil.
On behalf of the family, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Misericordia Hospital for the compassionate care Lloyd received during his stay. As well as our deepest gratitude to the staff at the Evansburg Health Unit for the support they provided to Lloyd while he was at home.
Cremation has already taken place and due to Covid19 restrictions, a private service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Parkinson Canada (www.parkinson.ca).
Beautiful words about a great man. He will be missed.
Deepest condolences and prayers to the family. R.I.P Lloyd and soar with the angels in heaven.
Mary, Brandon and Kara I am truly sorry about your loss. Remember the happy times. Hugs for all.
I’m sorry for your families loss. He was a brilliant man and a great neighbor to have. He always answered my calls and always made time to come down and have a beer in the shop with us. He took so much pleasure in the small things in life and never once let Parkinson’s hold him back or slow him down. We will miss him so much.
To the Regular family. We are extending our sympathy for the loss of your husband and father. My husband knew Lloyd while they worked for transAlta. And my oldest son went to school with Brandon. We hope your treasured memories will provide comfort during this fitfully time.
