At too young of an age of 56, Larry Ventura Silva past away on August 3, 2021. He was our cherished father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Larry will be dearly missed. He worked at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for 24 years, starting there as a young adult.
Larry was an intelligent, loving soul with a brilliant mind for fixing and building things. He loved gatherings with family and friends, and cooking during these special occasions. He had the ability to keep laughter ever present and an uncanny ability to keep us on our toes!
Larry loved to ski and loved his Edmonton Football team, attending games and cheering them on. Larry also enjoyed playing softball, and loved his first car a black Ford Mustang GT. More importantly than his love for sports and his car, his greatest accomplishments were his three children Alysia, Victoria and Dominic and his granddaughter Tianna.
Listening to Music was something he enjoyed, he always had the music on and enjoyed dancing to the music as well.
Larry was extremely kind, generous and loving to everyone whom he encountered. He treated everyone as though they were family. He helped many individuals.
Each one of us have so many beautiful memories of this kind, loving man.
Since 2015, Larry had a long and hard battle with cancer and the complications surrounding the surgeries and procedures. He was a miracle, as we almost lost him three times before, but he made it through it each time. This time it was not to be.
My dear cousin, my heart is broken, you will be greatly missed, till we meet again may you rest in peace.
Our deepest condolences for your loss.
We are both so very sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. May God’s peace and love be a comfort to your family in this time of sorrow and loss.
I was truly saddened to hear of Larry’s passing. My sincere condolences to his children, family and friends. May it give you some solace that Larry is finally out of pain and is at Peace.
I always felt welcome in his home and remember the spicy seafood dish he would served up.
I was very much saddened to hear of Larry’s passing. He was such a kind, giving and intelligent soul; and it was my distinct pleasure to have known him. My sincere condolences to all of Larry’s family & friends.
Larry was a true friend.
I knew Larry for 40 years and am so saddened at hearing of his passing.
We worked together, played together, did renovations together and recreated together. I always said he would outlive us all because I firmly believed it. Larry had a light that I thought could never be extinguished. I will forever remember his smile and his laughter.
I have met precious few people that had the talents he had, Cook, carpenter, mechanic, the man seemed to be a renascence man and there was nothing he couldn’t do.
My deepest condolences to his family.
Larry my friend you went way to soon.
