Larry Johnson
JULY 1954 - SEPTEMBER 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather. We will cherish our memories of Larry as a loving and devoted family man who was the core of decades of happy memories.
Larry will be remembered as a lifelong learner who was passionate about everything he set out to do and was always open to experimentation. He was a talented photographer, a fantastic cook, a lover of music and nature, enjoyed golfing and started teaching himself guitar after retirement. Whatever he set his mind to, he always ensured that the job was done well and the
results exceptional.
Larry loved knowledge, was always eager to share what he had learned through the years and enjoyed telling stories of his adventures, his varied careers, and the cars he had owned. When he wasn’t working on a project, he enjoyed sitting back to read a book, watch a movie, listen to music, or drink a craft beer over lively conversation.
Respected by his peers, Larry will be remembered as a skilled IT practitioner, a generous mentor, and a good friend.
Above all else, Larry loved his family and never failed to show that love. He will be missed by everyone in his life, and remembered as the wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend, and colleague that he was.
Those who wish to can remember Larry by donation to the Cross Cancer Institute of Edmonton, Pilgrims Hospice Society, Foyer Lacombe – Covenant Care, or a charity of their choice.
My condolences to his family on their loss. Larry definitely set a high professional and personal standard in all he did.
I send my sincere condolences during this time of sorrow. The Bible promises that your loved one will live again on a beautiful paradise earth when death will be no more. (John 5:28, 29; Revelation 21:4)
Dear Carol and family,
I am so sorry to hear of cousin Larry’s passing. May the happy memories you all shared carry you through this difficult time.
Hugs,
Peggy
