Kirsty Duy
Remembering Kirsty Duy
Her heart was a song, her soul a tune,
She sang through life, and gone too soon.
Her melody still plays, and echoes true,
In every note, beyond the skies so blue.
With hearts full of love and sadness, we say goodbye to our beautiful Hang Kirsty Duy, who passed away on the morning of her birthday, March 26, 2025, from lung cancer. Though she left us too soon, she filled every moment with her laughter and gentle love.
Kirsty had a deep love for country music—the kind that tells stories and make you sing along. Like Dolly Parton, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire and her current favourite song she loved to sing was “Million Reasons” by Lady Gaga. She also loved pho, ramen and believed that good food was meant to be enjoyed without guilt. Her favourite thing to do is to ride her bike and find ways to stay connected to her friends. And if there was one thing she adored most, it was dogs, who loved her just as much as she loved them.
She was a sister, auntie, cousin, grand daughter and friend who was always there—giving, laughing, and making every moment her own. As a daughter, she filled our home with love and light and her singing country music throughout the days! As a friend, she left lasting impressions where she went, gifting us with funny stories and cherished memories and handmade gifts. She had her way of making people feel special, even writing heartfelt letters to her friends—and even her sisters' dogs—carefully sealed, stamped and sent with joy.
Kirsty, we will ALL miss you more than words can say. And we know you’re still with us and in our hearts, lighting our way. We send you all our love and light—our sweet gentle soul.
