Keith Hector Black
On the evening of November 2, 2023 Keith Hector Black passed away peacefully at the Royal Alexander Hospital in Edmonton, AB. Keith was 64 years old.
Keith was born in Weyburn, SK to Wilmer and Lilianne Black and when he was young the family moved to Edmonton, AB where he grew up and lived. Keith spent most of his adult life as a Pipefitter with Local 488 in Edmonton. While his family was growing up he became a Realtor with Royal Lepage. Keith returned to the tools as a Pipefitter until his retirement a few years ago. He was a man of faith always and joined the Knights of Columbus and became a 4th Degree Knight.
Keith was always there for his family, willing to lend a helping hand and made us laugh with his witty remarks. Keith had a passion for travel and adventure, he took trips to Europe, Caribbean, Hawaii, French Polynesia, Alaska and through Western Canada. He also loved to scuba dive and was able to dive and experience life under the water.
Keith was preceded in death by his brother Edward and his father Wilmer. He is survived by his daughters Danielle and Joslyn, his mother Lilianne, his sisters Gwen (Don) and Diane (Jim), his brother Richard, his niece Melissa (Danny and great niece Elle), nephew Micheal, nephew Mark (Krystal and great niece Presley and great nephew Ronin). There are also aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Funeral Service for Keith will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 7508 – 29 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB on Monday November 20, 2023 @ 11:00. Doors will open at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, Keith has asked for donations to the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
My condolences to all in the Black family with the tragic loss of Keith. We shared some of the same passions for travel and scuba diving. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this challenging time. We rest in the knowledge that Keith is in a better place free of pain.

Sorry to hear the passing of Keith. I worked with Keith for many years and had many laughs at the yearly office BBQ together. When Keith left the real estate business he became a client of mine. He will be missed. Condolences to the black family.
