Sincere condolences to Kieths family. We were fortunate to work with Kieth for a year in Ft Mac. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have enjoyed Kieth’s company. We will miss him.
I also worked with Keith in fort Mac , being so far away from home your co workers become just like family with lots of good times and stories Rest In Peace my friend , from all your Newfoundland buddies! Condolences to your family and friends
I’d like to express my condolences to my family, his brothers and also his sisters who were left out of the obituary Cheryl Mckee and Frances Byrne (Brian) as they both very much loved the brother they were raised with and have both also felt a great loss. I didn’t get to see my uncle very much in person due to the long distance but share good memories although few together, many stories were shared from my aunts and uncles in Regina and here in Ontario and of course, my grandmother, his sister.
To my baby sister Marianne, you know how much my heart aches for you and your family, and you know I will always be there for you. So many of us were blessed to have spent time with Keith during the last few months and share our love with him. I had the opportunity to send Keith a TXT message before he left us, to reassure him that he was loved and his family would always have support – and – He Answered Me. Marianne has asked me to share this message.

You know me I don’t get to mushy or spiritual and I don’t say goodbye – just “see ya later” or “I’ll be back” Sending this note as I couldn’t make it back to tell you we all love you very much.
I know I talk a lot and make a lot of noise at times and even though I may not have always used the best choice of words you always understood me. You know “the Patch Talk” That’s what I loved about you.
I’ve never seen a person read so many books as you – I think I have read (from beginning to end) maybe 3 books in my entire life – and one of them was “Dick and Jane”. Of all the books in your home and all the books you have read I never saw you use a cook book – not once – but you could cook up a storm. Just for the record I still make the best carrot cake -LOL.
Never though of it before but everyone’s life is like a book. There is the first page and the last page. What we portray during this time becomes our own personal “Book Of Life” – mine is more like a comic book but yours my brother is a BEST SELLER. Your love, your wisdom, your generosity, your kindness, your strength, your courage to fight this horrible disease and your final choice has made everyone around you come to realize how precious life can be. So now the final chapter has been completed in a life well lived my friend and it’s time to close the book – its OK – Don’t be afraid – we love you.
You’re a good man Keith – lived a good life and you’ve been brave in choosing your destiny. You didn’t deserve this and I will never understand why God makes the choices that he does but he has prepared a place where you will have no pain. I wish you could stay with us but I know some pretty special Angels that are waiting for you.
You know our heart’s are breaking for you and everyone you love but please know that they won’t have to go through this alone. The support will always be there for your loved ones- you know we are a strong family.
You told me it made you happy when you would hear Marianne and I laugh – I will take care of her and you will hear us laugh again and often.
We will cherish the memories, the joy of knowing you, for the happiness you have brought to everyone around you and you will be forever held in out Hearts. You are loved Bro and Thank You for being in our lives.
Sharmaine and Pete xoxoxoxo
PS: I’m sending one last song by Jackson Brown “STAY” I’m sure you remember it – it’s my favorite.
