Judy passed away on September 8, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at the U o f A Hospital at the age of 77 years.

Judy was born in Edmonton, Alberta and was adopted by John and Violet Hosler around two months old. At that time, they lived just off 112 St & 72 Ave, which was a gravel road in those days. She attended McKernan school for grades three to nine, then Scona High for grades 10 & 11. From there she went on to attend McTavish Business College. She met her husband, Cam, at the age of 15 years. Her first date with Cam was spent enjoying a hamburger and root beer at the A&W on 109th Street, just two blocks north of Jasper Avenue.

She married the love of her life on October 16, 1965, and they were blessed with their children that they raised throughout Alberta including Edmonton, Edson, and Calgary. Their children moved out and started their only families that blessed her with 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Once their children moved out, they were on their own.

Judy loved camping in the mountains! Her favourite locations were Jasper, Banff, Lake Louise, and Johnston Canyon. One of her many enjoyments was taking her grandchildren along on these trips. Most of these trips were with Cam and Marge Johnston and other friends. She loved and admired all her grandchildren and treasured them with all of her heart.

She and Cam were blessed with being able to travel some of this beautiful world in which we live. Around 1980 they found themselves visiting Salt Lake City. For their 25th anniversary they made their way to Hawaii. One magnificent trip, and one of her favourites, was a Church History Tour. They also were able to take a wonderful Alaskan Cruise together. For their 50th anniversary they enjoyed a train trip to Vancouver Island which was a gift to Judy and Cam from their loving children.

Judy was predeceased by her parents Violet and John Hosler.

Judy was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served faithfully in the callings that she had. She served a service mission with her loving husband Cam, and they also served together in the temple. They spent many years together serving and loving each other. They shared love and laughter throughout the years. Cam feels blessed that Heavenly Father had him turn the corner that day and they literally ran into each other. Theirs was a love that comes around so seldom that it felt truly sanctioned by heaven. Her loving husband Cam thanks his lucky stars that Heavenly Father blessed him with her. They have spent their life devoted to each other and Judy will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

A funeral service for Judy will take place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Riverbend Stake Center, 14325 53 Avenue, Edmonton, AB, on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
