Josephine Slipchuk
On December 17, 2022, Josephine Slipchuk passed away at the age of 83 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She is survived by her husband of almost 54 years, Nestor and daughters Laurie (Tim) Young and Deborah. Jo is also survived by her siblings Marjorie Streeter, Bill (Lila) Konowalyk and Frank (Jan) Konowalyk and many nieces and nephews.
Jo was a very active lady. In addition to being a dedicated mother, she enjoyed golf, travel and loved animals, especially dogs. In later years, golf became one of her favorite activities, playing at the
Belvedere and in California.
A service for immediate family has taken place.
The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge the wonderful care provided by the staff at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre, Unit 9C.
Rest peacefully Josephine. You are remembered with love and gratitude for the many kindnesses and fun times we had with you. Love always – Bud and Carol Streeter and family.

Thank you Lucille, I was happy to meet you and I enjoyed our brief conversations. You brightened my day. Our situations were similar and I believe our frequent visits and dedication to our loved ones extended their lives by us just being there and caring for them.
