John (Jack) Key
It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of John (Jack) Key on February 17, 2018 aged 86 years in Edmonton, Alta.
Beloved husband of 58 years to Jean, cherished father to Steven (Arlene), Colin (Hanna) and Glenn (Janice), adored grandfather of Noah, Nathan, Jillian, Ryan, James, Kyla, and Braeden, and dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Dad was a kind and gentle man who loved being with his family, tending his garden, spending time at the cabin at the lake, and cheering on the Saskatchewan Roughriders. His quiet demeanor never quite masked his great sense of humour and the mischievous streak that always seemed to pop out when you least expected it. He was there to lend a hand to whomever needed it, and was always ready to help.
Born in Iffley, Sask in 1931 to James and Jane Key, Dad grew up in the North Battleford area before settling in Saskatoon where he met Mom, married, raised a family and grew a business. He and Mom had recently moved to Edmonton to be closer to family.
He is forever in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Friendship Inn, 619 20th St W, Saskatoon, Sk, S7M 0X8 would be appreciated.
