Johanna Kardosh
It is with deep sadness that we announce that Johanna passed away suddenly at home on January 7 at the age of 83.
Johanna is survived by her only son Kevin (Mariana) and grandchildren John, Jordy, Katie, Angelique and Jacob. She is survived by her 2 sisters: Catherine and Sheila (Ivan)
Johanna was predeceased by John, her husband of 55 years.
Johanna was born in Opal, AB to parents Archie and Johanna MacInnes. In 1952 Archie, Johanna and their 5 daughters moved from Alberta to Saltcoats, Saskatchewan. Johanna lived in Saltcoats from the age of 12-17. After completion of Grade 12 she moved back to Alberta and enrolled in the X-Ray technician program at the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH). Johanna worked for many years in the emergency department at the RAH and was always calm, cool and collected in performing her duties as an X-Ray technician. In 1976 Johanna was ready to make a career change and became an instructor in the Lab and X-Ray Department at NAIT/Alberta Vocational College. She worked as an instructor until her retirement in 1995.
Johanna enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed her nieces and nephews and frequently offered to care for them.
Johanna was thoughtful, funny and resilient. She will be greatly missed.
Cremation has taken place.
