Jerome “Jerry” Hummelle
Jerome “Jerry” Hummelle 71, passed away peacefully on October 10th 2024, after a brief and courageous battle with illness.
A devoted family man, Jerry was known for his love of the outdoors, spending countless hours hunting in the woods he cherished. His artistic spirit shone through in his paintings and metal works, capturing the beauty of nature that he held so close to his heart. Jerry’s greatest joy, however, was his family, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength.
He is predeceased by his father, Jerome, mother Bernadette, brother James, Sister Delores and sister Edith.
He leaves behind his brother Brett (Wendy) sister Linda and his son Jeremy Hummelle (Christina) and his Granddaughter Kaitlyn and countless family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In honouring Jerry’s final wishes, he did not want a funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jasper Fire Relief Fund.
Goodbye Jerry
We first met in Grade 3, it’s been along journey of 61 years. Together we have been up and down and all around. Gone too soon. Thought we had more time here on earth. Eventually I will see you on the other side. Your Friend.

For those times when there are no words to say
Just know the ones we love never go away
They walk beside us everyday.
Unseen, unheard, but always near.
Love Aunt Lori

Good bye my dear friend! I am fortunate that I had the privilege to meet you and know you for 30 years. You will be missed immensely but will be remembered indefinitely.
Thank you for the sage advice you gave to me, as well as my nephew Blake. Blake told me , he was so fortunate to be hunting with such great knowledgeable hunter. Your hunting skills were unmatched in my book as well, and you shared your wealth of knowledge with us.
I am grateful for the advice and projects you did for me at my cabin and home. The projects you did are a work of art and I will think of you when I see them.
I will miss the long conversations we had for hours . I will miss our hunting trips we experienced together. I will miss the bar b q s and the dinners we had with our family and friends.
And I am very fortunate, that we were able to meet for lunches recently . Those conversations will be on my mine for a long time, my friend.
I was lucky enough to meet Jerry through my uncle Julius. He was a great friend and taught me a lot about hunting and life in general. He came over and visited me when I was recovering from a knee surgery not too long ago and we watched an oilers game together. Rest in peace Jerry.
My very first big game hunt was with Jerry about 1993. What an amazing experience and friendship that was started with that hunt. I had the opportunity to hunt with Jerry 4 more times; the last one together was an Alaskan Moose hunt together. What an awesome gentleman. I will miss him dearly. Jim Bibler, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
Jerry I will remember the years we spent working and having fun together. You are now in your happy hunting ground. I am sure we will meet again and share a beer and a few more stories.
