Jean was born in Mundare Alberta. She had fond memories of her life there with her parents and siblings. The family moved into Edmonton in the early 1940s.
She met and married the love of her life Patrick McManus in August of 1949 and they started a life together. They built several homes together and were blessed with two children. With time came grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were a source of immense pride and joy for Jean. When she saw them her smile would light up the room.
