Janis Jeanne Gieselman
Janis Jeanne Gieselman (Harnois) passed away suddenly at 51 years on July 6th from complications related to an undetected and aggressive Cancer.
Our beloved wife, daughter, sister and mother was born in Edmonton in 1973 and spent the majority of her life in St. Albert until she moved with her family to Dubai for 8 years. Finally resettling back in St. Albert in 2015 with her husband and 2 children.
Janis lived an enormous life full of compassion, infectious laughter, and fierce love which she shared with family and her many, many friends, both locally and internationally.
Although she was taken too soon, our lives are better because of the time we did get with her.
She is survived by her parents Phil and Dianne Harnois, her husband Norm Gieselman, her daughter Jadyn, her son Benjamin, her sister Jodie Gubersky (Chris), her other sister Leanne Gunn, and her brother David Gunn.

Norm, Jadyn and Ben. There are no words that can help the loss you are all suffering. Janis was one of the most amazing, bright, bubbly, caring people we’ve had in our lives. She was there for us and our children while we were in Dubai. We have so many great times attached to her. You and the kids were her everything. The world is a darker place without her in it. Rest in peace Janis. Our thoughts are with you all at this time. Janis will never be forgotten.

I have no words that can take away your heartache and pain. I have had pain in my life but not the kind of pain that you all are going thru. When Dianne phoned me to let me know that Janis had passed I thought that I heard her wrong, but I could not believe it. Dianne and Phil lost a daughter, Norm lost his wonderful wife,,Jadyn and Ben lost their mother and Jodie lost her sister and Chris lost his sister in law. I still can not believe it that my niece passed away at such a young age and so very sudden. My heart is still broken and still crying. Janis was a wonderful breath of fresh air., she spoke her mind and she was such a funny person and fun..She always had a smile on her face and now she will be an angel with the lord. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Sending our deepest sympathies to you and your family! A beautiful service. Our thoughts and hearts are with you. Hugs to you all!!!!!
My thoughts, prayers and love go out to your entire family. No words can express the sorrow that comes from loosing a loved one. We have all dealt with these difficult times and understand that everyone processes the loss and moves forward in their own time and their own way. Give yourself the needed time, and live one day at a time. May peace find it’s way to you!
