Our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend James Russell Lane passed away in the presence of his family on September 9th, 2024 at the age of 80. Jim was born to the late Gordon Lane and Marjorie Lane on September 9th, 1944 in Weyburn Saskatchewan. Jim met and married Sandra Rudder in the city of Regina and later moved to Alberta to start a new life and raise his family which involved moving to different places such as Edmonton, Fort McMurray, and eventually settling in St.Albert.

Jim was a successful Industrial Insulator until his health prevented him from continuing in his profession. With this, he then took on the role of a family cook, a baker extraordinaire, and the go to handyman spreading his love with his friends and family alike. Jim was an amazing husband, father, "Papa", uncle, son and friend to all who knew him.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Kelly and Chad (Natalie), daughters, Tara and Kimberly (Shayne), grandchildren Brian, Adam (Nikki), Savannah, Nicholas, Ethan, and Braxton, great grandchildren, Brian, Brody, Tobias, Rebecka, as well as Justice and Leo, sister, Karen (Don) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and family.

Everyone is welcome to join us in the Celebration of His Life that will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in St. Albert at 10 Akins Drive. September 19th for 4:30 p.m.
