James Michael Hallam
It is with great sadness and gentle relief that the family announces the passing of James Michael Hallam. Jim passed away peacefully at the Royal Alexandra Hospital on the afternoon of July 17, 2021. Jim is survived by his wife and golfing partner, Lorna, children, Kerrie and Michelle (Les), grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Jim will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and siblings, Sibylle, Frank, Sharon and Trevor.
Jim was an avid golfer and a long-time member of the Glendale Golf & Country Club, where over the years he successfully had a hole-in-one on all five par threes. After he was no longer able to golf, Jim spent his mornings reading the newspaper, doing the daily crossword puzzle, word search and going for his daily walk.
We would like to thank the physicians who over the many years of Jim’s illnesses so kindly cared for him. Dr. Stephanie Smith, Dr. Tom Salopek, Dr. Justin Ezekowitz and Dr. Jonathan Cena, you are a credit to your profession. To our nurses, Amanda, Janet, Rachel, and Melissa and pharmacists, Manju and Larry, thank you. A special thank you to his Guardian Angel.
Cremation has taken place and as per Jim’s wishes a Celebration of Life will be held for his family and friends at the Glendale Golf and Country Club on July 29, 2021 at 10:00 am. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
I cannot begin to thank everyone enough for the outpouring of love, support and help we received these past number of years.
When someone you love dies you never get over it, you just slowly get through each day but you always keep them safely tucked in your heart. You will be missed.
We miss you Uncle Jim, you will live in our hearts forever. We know you are at peace and free from pain in this world. With every golf game we will have you in our hearts and know you are watching from above in Golf Heaven.
Dear Lorna and Family. I was so sad to hear about the passing of Jim. I always considered him as my mentor and the best boss I ever had. I will always keep him in a high place in my memory. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
