Ian Shypanski
August 4, 1955 - June 24, 2023
On Saturday, June 24th our family lost a husband, father and grandfather, Ian Shypanski, at the age of 67.
Ian was happiest when riding his motorcycle or out in nature camping and fishing. He loved to work with his hands and made a living doing so as a Dental Service Technician for 35 years. If you ever needed a helping hand, you could count on Ian to be there. If you ever needed a good story and a good time, Ian would also be there!
Ian is survived by his wife Mary Jane, his son Adam (Maija), his daughter Erin (Brad), his grandchildren Linden, Beatrice, Bram and Emery, his mother Pauline and his sister Della. He was predeceased by his brother Bruce.
We will celebrate Ian's life on Wednesday, July 5th at 2:00 at Trinity Funeral Home, 10530 116 St.
In lieu of flowers we ask you to donate to the pet rescue organization of your choice.
Our heart hurts, Mary Jane, for you and the family. Please be gentle with yourself and remember that Albert and I are thinking about you during this time. We have enjoyed years of friendship with you and Ian and wish you great peace and comfort.
Sending love from miles away, Petra & Albert den Otter

I was so sad to hear about Ian. My days working with him and the gang at Canadian Dental are some of my fondest memories. You’re in my thoughts and prayers Mary Jane.
My deepest condolences to you and your family. Ian was well respected in the Dental community.
He was a great technician, a man that took pride in whatever he did. A kind man that cared about others.
I worked with him for several years and will remember him as a great human being.
