Hulda Nerenberg
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hulda Nerenberg on March 7, 2021 at the age of 97 years.
She will always be remembered as a very hard working, giving, unselfish and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, Oma and Tick-Tack Oma.
Hulda was born December 5, 1923 in Obory, Poland and immigrated with her husband Alfred and her young son to Canada from the former East Germany in 1956.
Hulda will be greatly missed and she will live on in the hearts of her son, Hans (Ulrike), grandchildren Ramona (Rob), Aaron (Nicole) and her three precious great-granddaughters Sophia, Ella and Amelia. Hulda was predeceased by her husband of 62 years in 2011, her brothers Reinhold and Herman and sisters Erna, Melida and Alma. She also leaves to mourn numerous relatives and friends both here and in Germany.
Mom was known for her baking and her green thumb. She loved to work in her garden and nurture her beautiful flowers. She also was a great seamstress and worked at former GWG factory for many years.
Cremation has taken place and a private internment is planned for the Spring.
Donations in memory of Hulda may be made to the Alzheimer Society or SCARS (Second Chance Animal Rescue Society).
Special thanks to the staff of the Devonshire Long Term Care Facility for their compassion and care during her 9 plus year stay at the facility.
