Hilda Luimes
December 7, 1928 - July 26, 2021
On July 26 2021, Hilda was called to transition from her present life into the Spirit World. Her faith made it possible for her to step over this threshold peacefully and confidently.
Hilda leaves behind Gerry, a grieving and dedicated husband of 69 years, one son Bruce (Mary), two grandchildren Chris (Kristin) and Heather Duncan (Troy) and four great grandchildren.
Hilda was predeceased by her sisters, Lien and Grace and brothers, John and Bert.
We are very thankful for the care and compassion that was extended to Hilda by Dr Kivi and the caregivers at Devonshire Manor.
A small family memorial service will be held in the Devonshire Care Home's Chapel on August 4th.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hope Mission.
Together with Gerry you left Holland in 1951 for a new future and sailed west-bound to Canada, this big and beautifull country that you learned to love , for another 70 years.
Now this long life came to an end.
We shall remember you and wish Gerry and your children the strenghts and all the good memories in this sad moments.
