Hilda Amanda Parser
It is with great sadness and much love that we say farewell to our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Hilda, who passed away on July 13, 2020 at the age of 95.
She will be forever remembered by her children, Darlene (Len) Karran, Wayne (Jacqueline) and Dale (Barb), along with six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Fred, her son, Jay and her four brothers, Earl, Harley, Marvin and Larry Lehman.
Hilda had a love of travel and was very curious about the world around her. Her creativity and skill in a variety of crafts kept her busy over the years. Each family member has been gifted with several items that she has lovingly made with them in mind. She was multi-talented, strong, independent, kind and loving, an inspiration to all. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Due to COVID restrictions, and out of town family members unable to attend, A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
.: I met Hilda in the late 1970s when I worked at Edmonton Public Library. We grew our friendship over the years and continued on long after I left EPL in Febrauary 1983. I will always remember her warmth and lovely smile and how friendly and welcoming she was to me each time I visited her over the years. She was an amazing woman and I miss her already. Sleep well, Hilda, and enjoy traversing the Universe now.
I’m so sorry to hear of her passing. Our thoughts are with you’re family xo amy and Meyer
Hilda was incredibly sweet and kind and lovely to be around. May her memory live on in her precious loved ones and all those she touched.
When I remember Ilda I will think of a stylish lady with sparkling eyes immaculately dressed, hair in place and lip stick on. She will be dressed in vibrant colours and she will be smiling.
I will remember the delightful colourful dolls and clowns and dresses she lovingly made for Sarah and Jessica and that incredible purple grape Halloween costume. It was perfection and Jessica was the cutest purple grapes ever.
Only a Grandmother with a lot of love in her heart for her grandchildren could have designed and made such talented creations.
She will be very much missed by her beautiful family.
Hello, I am a student practicing ASL and saw someone who looked like her with the same name on the DVD. Can someone please provide me with the answer, if she is that same person? I and the rest of the ASL class send our condolences.
