Heather Lee MacAngus
It is with both sadness and peace in our hearts that we announce the passing of Heather Lee MacAngus on April 30, 2018. After a strong, courageous battle with cancer, Heather passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her family.
She will be remembered for her determination, generosity and for the strength of her love. She leaves her family and friends to carry on her legacy of family dinners, games, travel adventures and fierce love.
She will be loved forever by her husband David, children Courtney, Erin (Tim), Michael (Riley), grandson Sawyer, siblings Tyler and Lezlie, parents Ena and Graydon, and her extended MacAngus and Cassell families. As well as her dear friends, her soul sisters and the children she loved as her own. She was predeceased by her grandmother Rita, her sister Shelley and beloved parents in law Lois and Don.
Our family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors of unit 43 at the Grey Nuns Hospital. Your kindness will not be forgotten and you have a special place in our hearts.
Later in Heather's life she became passionate about creating conversations around domestic violence and supporting women. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local women's shelter. In Edmonton Heather supported Gifts of Hope (@GiftsOfHopeACWS) and the Alberta Council of Women's Shelters.
