Gisela Johanna Boschman
Gisela (nee Magnus) Boschman, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother of Edmonton, Alberta, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the age of 74 years.
Gisela was born December 7, 1947, in Eidinghausen, Germany. She came west with her family in 1951—to follow her father’s dream to own and farm land in Canada. The family originally lived in Luseland Saskatchewan (1951-1959), and then Rocky Mountain House (1959-1970). Gisela was a devoted teacher and worked for Edmonton Public Schools for over forty years. Her devotion to her craft and compassion toward her students touched many young lives. Her faith in God and love for her family will be her legacy.
Gisela will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 49 years, Henry Boschman, and her children, Corina (Markus) Plaum, Wesley (Melanie) Boschman, Carla (Dwight) Hirschfeld and seven loving grandchildren. Her passing is also mourned by her sister-in-law, Edith Magnus, her brother, Harald Magnus, and her sister Vera (Gerald) Knopp.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00pm at Evangelical Fellowship Church (10511 79 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6E 1R9) on Friday, June 10, 2022.
We are deeply sorry about your loss. Gisela was a shining example of a wife, mother and grandmother and as a woman of faith she leaves a wonderful legacy. May God surround you with His love and peace as you remember her life.
