With my deepest sympathy to you Barry and Marilyn and your brothers family.
Gerald, will always remember you playing your accordion and singing in your church. You are now free of pain – to the Zdrill family – its time to heal, you have been through alot this last year. Take care. xoxo
Our thoughts are with you Jonathan and the whole Zdrill family.
Heaven has a wonderful addition to the Choir.
Debbie and Allan Homeniek
With my deepest sympathy to Jonathon and Tanya and son, Susan, Larry and Barry.
So sorry to hear of your dad, grandfather, brothers passing.
We can only trust now that he is with his Lord and not sick any more.
One day if you also have Jesus as your personal Savior, which I know he would have wanted,
you will see him again in heaven.
We are so sorry for your loss, Jonathan, Tanya, Jackson and the Zdrill Family.
Heaven’s choir has grown.
Debbie and Allan Homeniek.
Rick and I want you to know that we share in your sadness because Gerald is not with us anymore but we rejoice that we will see him again. Gerald was always so welcoming when Rick and I visited with him; we always had many happy memories of the “good old days” at Gospel Centre church. Rick first met Gerald around 1968 when Gerald taught accordion for Rick at the music school on 118 Avenue. Gerald had one of the most beautiful singing voices I have ever heard and we especially enjoyed it when he sang the “Our Father” song. Gerald you will be missed but I hear there is a very large singing group in heaven and you will fit right in.
Van and Bev Siemens:
Condolences to Jonathan,Tanya, Jackson, Barry, Larry and Susan. We are saddened by the loss of Gerald, but we know that joy cometh in the morning. With Gerald we laughed through the good times and cried through the sad times. Gerald was a wonderful prayer warrior. We imagine there is a large orchestra in heaven, and what orchestra could not use another accordion.
(Rev. 21:4) says “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying; and there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Gerry was my best friend and.best uncle to my.daughter Destiny♥ he made such.a huge impact on my life.and will truly be missed but forever live on.in our hearts. My thoughts and prayers go out to jonathan and family

So sad upon hearing the sad news of Geralds passing. We will always remember him as the kind warm gentleman that would be the first person you greet when entering our Church. He welcomed everyone with a warm handshake and a smile. You are now with your loving Father at home in Heaven.
My heart stopped when I seen this obituary. If it wasn’t for Gerald, I don’t think I would’ve lived a long and happy life. As a young man in my early twenties, I never really told him how much I appreciated his family and love.
I have tried different ways to contact him over the years, but never had any luck.
He was a great guy and he and his family were instrumental in helping me find and walk with God.
He was a Saint in my eyes.
